Scion 2006 xB vs Honda Civic Hybrid 2009 or 2008 CO2 Emissions, whats the difference in emissions? - hybrid car emissions
hello in thinking about either a 2006 or Scion xB Honda Civic Hybrid 2008 or 2009, I wonder which of these emissions in the Scion xB (or even a car this size) to a hybrid car compare?

According to the EPA, the 2006 Scion xB Automatic 6.6 metric tons of CO2 emissions per flown every 15,000 miles: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/2008car1t ...
The 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid emits 4.4 tons flown CO2 per every 15,000 miles: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/compx2008 ...
Basically, the Civic Hybrid is 33% less CO2 than the Scion xB.
Personally, I prefer to go with a Toyota Prius, but the Civic Hybrid. The Civic Hybrid uses a CVT transmission belt friction drive and torque converter, while the Prius uses the electric motor with a gearbox PSD directly connected to the wheels toothgeared (the simpler and more sustainable).
And the 2009 Prius emits 4.0 tonnes of CO2 per every 15,000 flying miles: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/compx2008 ...
